School Bus Overturned in Linden Causing Injuries for Five Victims
A school bus overturned in Linden, New Jersey and caused personal injuries for five victims. Just before 4 pm, the bus accident occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike near the exit for the Goethals Bridge. Four children and one adult out of around 40 bus occupants sustained minor injuries during the time when the school bus overturned. The children were brought to a hospital in Brooklyn, New York, while the adult passenger was transported to the Trinitas Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
Since the tragic bus accident that occurred in Mount Olive, New Jersey last month, the focus has been on the safety of school buses and proficiency of their drivers. Unfortunately, though, school bus accidents may be more frequent during the spring when many schools schedule field trips and other end-of-the-school-year events. When a bus engages in an accident with another vehicle, the results could be catastrophic, and victims may incur a spate of injuries as well as potential fatalities.
