Multiple Injuries During New Jersey Turnpike Bus Collision
Over a dozen passengers sustained injuries during a bus collision with a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike. The bus accident occurred on Wednesday morning, around 9:10am, in Hamilton Township, New Jersey between exits 7 and 7A when a charter bus carrying about 50 occupants rear-ended a tractor-trailer. Several children were on board when the New Jersey Turnpike bus collision took place although no serious injuries were reported.
During the summer, camps and summer school programs use buses for field trips and excursions to various destinations. Even though buses occupy the roads throughout the year and provide reliable transportation, when an accident occurs involving a bus, the results could be catastrophic. Passengers may sustain a wide range of injuries and potential fatalities due to the lack of safety features contained in the vehicle.
