Job Description

Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow, LLP is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney to join our plaintiff-side litigation team. This role focuses on representing clients in complex personal injury matters and requires strong litigation skills, strategic case development, and the ability to manage cases from evaluation through trial preparation.

The ideal candidate brings 5–15 years of litigation experience and has a proven track record handling depositions, motion practice, discovery, and case strategy in personal injury cases. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful cases while collaborating with an experienced legal team dedicated to advocating for injured clients.

Responsibilities

Case Management & Litigation Strategy

  • Manage personal injury cases from initial evaluation through resolution.
  • Analyze liability, damages, and case strategy to build strong litigation plans.
  • Develop case strategy including discovery planning, expert engagement, and trial preparation.

Discovery & Motion Practice

  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
  • Draft, argue, and respond to motions including dispositive motions and discovery motions.
  • Manage written discovery including interrogatories, requests for production, and document review.

Trial Preparation

  • Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Coordinate with medical experts, investigators, and consultants.
  • Develop exhibits, witness outlines, and trial strategy.

Client Representation

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Communicate case developments and provide strategic legal guidance.
  • Maintain a high standard of client advocacy and professionalism.

Legal Research & Writing

  • Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy and motion practice.
  • Prepare persuasive briefs, memoranda, and case analyses.
  • Apply strong analytical thinking to complex legal and factual issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey for at least 5 years.
  • 5–15 years of legal experience practicing law.
  • 5+ years of experience:
    • handling personal injury litigation
    • with motion practice
    • conducting depositions
  • Demonstrated experience managing discovery and preparing cases for trial.

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with medical experts and evaluating injury-related evidence.
